Genesis One: KS Update #16

03/29/2026

This post provides a quick update on what’s currently happening at Lily Audio.

Logistics Update

Our latest shipment of components arrived in the US on 3/23. Currently, the shipment is undergoing standard customs clearance. While this is a routine part of international logistics, it has taken longer than anticipated. We are in close contact with our freight forwarders and expect the release later this week. As soon as these parts arrive, we will immediately resume final assembly and shipping. Thank you for your continued patience and for being part of the Lily Audio journey.

Tuning

While we wait for our latest shipment to clear customs, we’ve used the time to further refine the Genesis One. Through ongoing testing, we found that manufacturing tolerances can occasionally create a 5 dB peak in the 2–3 kHz range. Because of the large ear cup design, this frequency is highly sensitive to individual ear anatomy. For some, it sounds perfect, while for others, it can lead to sibilance.

To ensure a smoother, more consistent experience for everyone, we have developed an internal damping solution that effectively tames this peak without losing detail.

What this means for you:

  • New Shipments: All units moving forward will include this improved damping as standard.

  • Current Owners: If you already have your Genesis One and find the treble is too sharp for your ears, we’ve got you covered. Contact us, and we will perform a free acoustic retro-fit to update your pair to the new specification.

Thank you for your patience as we make these final boutique refinements. We’re committed to making the Genesis One the best headphone in your collection.

Warm regards,

Lily Audio Team.

Acoustic refinements

  • Red curve: FR without damping.

  • Blue curve: FR with our new damping solution. The peaks between 2–3 kHz are smoothed out.

Note: These measurements were captured during the driver-tuning phase to isolate the effect of the damping material. Because these were not taken on a fully assembled Genesis One unit, please focus specifically on the 2–3 kHz delta. The rest of the frequency range does not reflect the final sound signature.
