Genesis One: KS Update #10
01/26/2026
This post provides a quick update on what’s currently happening at Lily Audio.
1. Sourcing & Manufacturing
Some components are taking longer than expected to manufacture, which has resulted in an overall delay of approximately two weeks compared to our original schedule. More specifically, parts for the first 30 Genesis One units will be shipped from China by air around Feb 1, while parts for the remaining units will be shipped by sea around Feb 11. The first 30 units will begin shipping to backers starting Feb 15, with the rest expected to ship in Mar. We sincerely apologize for this delay and truly appreciate your patience and support as we work to ensure everything meets our quality standards.

2. Tuning & Earpads
Over the past few weeks, we’ve been testing earpads with different materials, foam thicknesses, and foam stiffness levels. We’re happy to share that the earpad designs are now finalized.
Each Genesis One will include Earpad #2 and Earpad #3 by default. Earpad #1 and Earpad #4 will be available as optional add-ons on Kickstarter as well as on our website.
Earpad #1: Perforated lambskin, medium foam stiffness, 10 mm thick.
With the least perforation among the four options, this earpad delivers the warmest tuning and the strongest bass boost. It’s designed for serious bassheads who want maximum slam, rumble, and fun from their Genesis One.
Earpad #2 (Default): Perforated lambskin, low foam stiffness, 10 mm thick.
Featuring an average level of perforation, this earpad delivers the most neutral tuning. It is included with every Genesis One, along with Earpad #3.
Earpad #3 (Default): Velour top, leather bottom, low foam stiffness, 10 mm thick.
With a high level of perforation, this earpad offers a neutral-to-bright tuning with increased openness. It is included by default with every Genesis One, along with Earpad #2.
Earpad #4: Velour top, fabric bottom, low foam stiffness, 10 mm thick.
Featuring the highest level of perforation, this earpad delivers a brighter tuning with maximum openness. It’s designed for listeners who prefer the largest and deepest soundstage.

3. KS
A survey regarding cable preferences and add-ons is currently under review by Kickstarter. Once the review is completed, it should be sent out to you within the next couple of days.
4. Amplifier
We’ve received 5 custom amplifier prototypes using 6063 ICs from Inventvm. These prototypes still have some technical issues and are currently undergoing debugging. We’ll keep you posted with updates.
