Genesis ONE at HifiCon SEP 2025

We joined HiFiCon in Newark today, continuing to share Genesis One with the community. Being only 30 minutes away, it felt like a local gathering for us. The show was smaller than CanJam SoCal, but no less vibrant. In fact, while there were fewer attendees, each person spent more time listening to our headphones and many offered thoughtful, detailed feedback.

We brought the same prototypes we showcased at CanJam SoCal, since we’re still in the middle of our current iteration. But this time, we came prepared: we powered Genesis One with a Hafler DH-220 speaker amp, which completely resolved the low-volume issue from last time.

The feedback we received was constructive and encouraging. For example:

  • Some noted the headphones don’t fully seal on smaller heads — something we’re already addressing in this iteration.

  • A few listeners felt the treble was slightly too forward.

  • Channel matching was off in one prototype.

Beyond these points, the response was overwhelmingly positive. Along with praise for the clarity that almost everyone noticed, we heard new feedback that hadn’t come up at CanJam:

  • “Surprisingly good bass for an open-back.”

  • “Really good imaging and soundstage.”

  • “Totally different from all headphone types I’ve listened to — in a good way.”

We were also excited to see genuine interest in our CrystalCore™ technology. Several attendees engaged in deep technical discussions, which was both fun and validating for us.

On top of that, we met great people from the organizer team and the broader headphone community, and we look forward to staying connected. It was also inspiring to talk with other headphone makers who share the same passion for sound.

Overall, HiFiCon was a fantastic event for us. Huge thanks to the Bay Area Enclave for organizing — we’re excited to keep building momentum together.
